Gummiwerk KRAIBURG: Global sales under new management
Dr Christian Meermann is the new Global Sales Director
As of January 1, 2022, Dr Christian Meermann has joined Gummiwerk KRAIBURG & Co. KG as Global Sales Director. Meermann, who holds a PhD in chemistry, brings wide experience from management roles in the international sales and marketing of polymers.
Professional career
After his chemistry studies at the Technical University of Munich and completion of his Doctorate at the University of Bergen in Norway and Osaka University in Japan, followed by a short postdoctoral position at the CAT Catalytic Center, he began his professional career in 2009 at Ticona (Celanese) in the catalyst and polymer research.
From strategic marketing to global sales
In 2011, Meermann moved at first to strategic marketing as Technical Lead before he fully developed towards sales functions. During his time at Ticona/Celanese Engineered Materials, he held various, also global, management positions in business development, marketing, and sales of thermoplastic polymers. In 2016, Meermann joined DSM Engineering Materials as Global Key Account Manager and led until recently as Regional Sales Manager a globally active sales team of account manager and application development manager at the Dutch chemistry company.
